We all know resume is the first thing that impress tour potential employer. Its important to state the relevant information in your resume without oversharing which can at risk for scams, identity theft or spam.

Photograph: Many may think putting your photo on a resume is a common practice, however it is not mandatory. You may give your photograph upon request by the organization during your interview or selection process. This way you could avoid the employer do not judge you by look instead choose you based on merit.

Date of birth: Age discrimination is a typical problem we face where organization give preference to applicants age based on the position and job scope. By mentioning your date of birth, you are actually driving the employer toward discrimination

Place of birth or current address: It’s not important for an employer to know your place of birth. The only thing that is important is that you are here and you are prepared to take up the role, as you believe that you can meet their expectation. You are not required to share your full address as it can be misused in many ways.

Marital status or number of children: This is your personal life and its excessive for you to share those prior speaking to your potential employer. Some employers view single and married people differently and favour one category over the other. Your talent, skills and commitment are the most important thing regardless of the number of kids you have

Current compensation details: This should not be included in the CV. An employer should decide what to pay you depend on your experience, abilities and how you performed during the interview. They could simply reject your profile looking at your current pay as you could be overqualified or inexperienced.

social media profiles: Do not include social media accounts which are irrelevant with your job on resume. By this employer may pass judgment on you based on your pictures or post in social media and decide not to recruit you. Instead, you could share blogs, LinkedIn or any website which address your experience and work.
